Quilting is something that requires energy that knitting doesn't. I don't know why, but for me, it requires both emotional and mental energy and that has been in short supply in the last 6 months. However, I know that things are starting to settle back to normal when I start to get the bug to begin sewing again.
I had recently starting thinking about finishing the blue quilt that is intended for a guest room bed. Although, my husband is very partial to this quilt, so he may talk me into using it in our room for a season or two.

I finished putting the borders on it and started the quilting, so that should actually be done for this season. My first bed quilt!

And I also started a strip quilt that I am intending for our bed, I have the squares done, so with some persistence I should be able to finish this sometime in the fall as well. It looks a little off because it is laid out on a red throw rug, but you get the idea...
Love the new quilt. Great colors

Gorgeous! I can see why your husband is partial to that quilt - I would be, too :)

This is weird. I posted a comment, thought successfully, but don't see it. Both quilts are very beautiful but in very different ways. I cannot decide which I like better so I won't. Quilting always looks so appealing, but realistically, I don't have time and I already own yarn BLE. Jo
