I have another finished object to share, this is the Lilac Leaf shawl from Estonian Knitting. DH bought me this yarn in belgium, it is Anny Blatt (couldn't find any non-commercial yarn there), a camel, silk, cashmere blend and it is luscious! I had 600 yards, but ended up only using 5 of 6 skeins for this and that drives me a little mad. I wish I had made it one repeat wider so it would be a little less scarf like and a little more stole like.
This yarn is WAY too delicate to frog and try again, so it is what it is, and it is lovely, drapy, warm, gorgeous, and completely unseasonal. I think it will make a nice accent scarf for a black/grey outfit, and I do so love black & grey outfits. It could sort of be a stole, not with this outfit obviously, but then when you look at the back it doesn't look quite wide enough.
I am attempting to use flickr to blog with b/c my handy-dandy new phone uploads directly to flickr, but I can't figure out how to really do it, so that's why the photos are all so small. I am too stubborn to download them all from flickr to my laptop and then upload them to typepad, it just seems silly! (I think I finally figured it out!!)
Here's a good shot of the lace, I think it turned out really pretty, I even like the nupps!
I am now even more ready for fall - bring it on!!
(I'm just enjoying pretending that it will NOT be 96 tomorrow, come and join me in my delusion!)
Oh no! The photos aren't popping up at all! Mysterious...
It sounds like a lovely project, though.

Eew, 96! Much better to be in the low sixties and breezy, so you can wear your lovely new scarf :)

Your stole is pretty. I know that feeling of "not wide enough" and I added a border all around. It really helped and perhaps will make it seem more stole like. Pretty colour in that yarn.

The pictures aren't too small at all! They look good to me. And the scarf/stole is lovely! Great color! It will be perfect with all the city black/grey that is required in Philly.

We share a heatwave. Wishing for a cool day is an exercise in futility.
I just wish we could store up the heat for January - some sort of atmospheric batteries would be nice.
Stay cool!
