This is the Firmaments version of the Pi Shawl, published by Webs, but if you look for it I think you can still download it for free from an episode of Knitting Daily.
It took me 6 months of intermittent knitting, less intermittent lately, I thought I was going to lose my mind toward the end. It is approx 64" across and weights slightly less than 6 oz.
It's Zephyr laceweight in Admiral, I love the color. I used just over 1800 yards (I still have about 3000 if anybody wants to buy any!)
I used the Print o'the Wave edging but altered it to suit my own purposes, drop me a line of you would like a copy of the edging pattern. I put beads on the crests of the waves, they are not terribly visible in the pic but they are there and give the shawl a bit of weight on the ends. I like the way thy look.
So this is pretty much what I've been doing for the last 2 months, this and other planning for the trip to beglium, 16 days and we'll be on our way!
I have to say, I knew this was a big undertaking when I decided to do it, this started something like "an intense pi shawl begins with a single stitch", and it's not that I really doubted I would finish it, but I keep looking at it and thinking "Holy crap, did I really MAKE that?" I am pleased as punch. :-)
OH MY GOD! That is freakin' fantastic!!!
Amazing!!!

Oh. Wow. I mean, really, really WOW. It is absolutely stunning. I am in total lust. And that color! We may have to talk about that leftover yarn (and the edging pattern), especially if you don't mind knowing that there's another version floating around on the west coast ;)
Seriously, well done. That is some quality lace.

Oh my... I was unprepared for such beauty this early on a gray morning. I am blown away. I am so impressed that I... I can't even use excalmation marks. I'm more impressed than I can express.
You are an amazing knitter and that is a piece to be proud of forever.
