Alright, are you ready for me to stop talking about the test knit yet?
Well here it is:
I am happy with it.
I used Valley Yarns Huntington, I think the yarn cost $24 - Can't beat that! It is superwash, so it stretched a little bit more than I was anticipating and I had to throw it in the dryer to get it back to size. It is still a little longer than my pre-blocking measurements should have allowed for. The waist shaping is a tad low and the sleeves are a little long, but nothing I can't live with (and most likely forget about before I wear it the next time).
The pattern hasn't been released yet, but keep checking Anne's blog, it'll be out relatively soon.
Here's a close up, I love the buttons.
I am definitely happy with it, there were some trials along the way and I definitely wanted to throw up my hands in the middle somewhere just because I wanted to knit something different, but here it is - 3 weeks later and I have entire, work appropriate, and totally practical sweater!
Beautiful! I really like it. I mean, I *really* like it!
