Pattern: Daybreak by Stephen West
Yarn: Madelinetosh Merino Light
Colors: Terra & Sequoia (but I swear, the lighter color is the orangey red color that is the color of dancing flame, and the dark color is like burnt sienna
Size: Medium (60 x 20ish)
Time to knit: 1 fabulous Canadian vacation
I think I will wear it as a scarf, not a shawl, like so
I am also knitting the Stephen West mystery shawl that's going on right now, turns out, there's INTARSIA involved. ACK. I never would have signed up for that if I knew, but I didn't, so there I am knitting away and I'm not going to stop now just because there's intarsia (besides, the outcome is really nice).
I loved knitting Daybreak, fast & easy, just enough going on to amuse me, but not so much that I couldn't stare out the windows endlessly at the gorgeous Canadian scenery. I am thinking it would be really lovely in a grey/blue or grey/black color combo as well...so many things to knit, I doubt I'll knit two of the same thing, maybe for a gift...

Nicely done, and it really suits you. Huzzah!

Daybreak is fantastic! I've been dreaming of a Canadian vacation like that for years. Lake Louise looks like one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Gorgeous! All of it - the scarf, you, Canada. The colors you chose are just wonderful - I bet you'll wear that a LOT.
