I got a postcard from my Secret Pal today! Fun! It looks like she is in New Hampshire, I bet it's still cold there!
And I got these sock yarns from Fearlessfiber's Etsy shop. They are quite pretty, I got the tealish one for her and the woodsy one for me (for DH), but I'm not sure I'm gonna send it to her b/c she said she doesn't like muted colors and that dark teal is definitely muted. I like it, but I'd rather keep it than send her something I'm not sure she'll like. It's so hard to guess somebody's taste, y'know? And she doesn't have any pictures of FOs on her blog, so I can't use that as a basis to judge either.
The yardage is extreme - 550, so I thought the woodsy one would be good for DH and fit his feet without running out before I'm done.
And the teal one, if I kept it, would make lovely knee socks for me...
hmf. decisions, decisions.
btw - I did make a trek to walmart and got the canvas duck to put inside the sock bags and some cording for the openings, hopefully I'll get to that one night this week or this weekend.
BFF & the goddaughter are coming saturday and I need to clean! I did manage to vacuum tonight, and very soon I will be sitting down to work on my sleeves (cabled cardi) and watch american idol. More cleaning can happen tomorrow. and maybe the next day...and maybe the day after the at. At anyrate, she'll understand if I don't get to it all, but I will make a valiant effort.
Glad you liked the postcard -- I hope your mail carrier was nicer than my parents' one. I spaced the fact that postage went up by a penny and their carrier left them an envelope for postage due for one cent! :-/
